Bouquet of the Week
April 4, 2018
We have fresh cut tulips for our season opener this weekend at the Bardstown Road Farmers Market.
Tulips are our first cut flowers of the spring, soon to be followed by spring flowering perennials and winter annuals. With the wet weather we've been having, there are trays and trays of young seedlings lined up in the cold frame, waiting for the ground to dry. We'll be planting just about everything - lilies, sunflowers, dianthus, lisianthus, snapdragons, bupleurum, zinnias and cosmos and probably more - in the next week or so.
There's no holding it back! Spring is here! And we'll be riding it's wave into the Bardstown Road Farmers Market this Saturday from 8am - noon.
Hope to see you there!
