Bouquet of the Week
May 12, 2016
Peonies, Baptisia, Bupleurum, Cornflowers
Baptisia, also known as False Indigo, is a native prairie plant with long, gracefully arching stalks of royal blue pea-like flowers and radiant emerald green foliage. It's a gorgeous, stately cut flower, but only blooms during a short season for a few weeks in May. It's one of our favorite seasonal treasures on the farm, eagerly anticipated every spring.
We'll be featuring Baptisia for the next couple of weeks at the market, in our mixed bouquets, by the bunch, and by the stem. Be sure to take advantage of them while they're here.
See you on Saturday!
