Sea of Flowers
What a lush, wet, spring season we're having! We're awash in a sea of flowers while our irrigation lines go neglected in an overgrown corner of the field.
It's a time for full bunches of airy delicate filler flowers, sweet-smelling dianthus, and the first small taste of summer's sunflowers. We'll have just a handful of sunflowers at the market this Saturday, but we expect them to come on strong next week.
Once our sunflowers start blooming, we'll have a consistent supply throughout the rest of the season - a full 20 weeks or more of big, bold, cheery sunflowers! The early birds can get the first taste this Saturday at the Bardstown Road Farmers Market.
See you there!
