Bouquet of the Week
June 1, 2017
Sunflowers, Asiatic Lilies, Saponaria, Larkspur, Snapdragons
We have an exuberant mix of spring and summer flowers for the market this weekend!
Sunflowers, Hydrangea, Lilies, Larkspur, Saponaria, Snapdragons, Yarrow, and maybe even a few Zinnias make a rich palette of colors, forms, and textures. It's the sweet spot in the spring season as the summer solstice approaches, when all kinds of flowers are eager to bloom.
In more than twenty years of production on our Kentucky flower farm, we've developed a specialty for mixed bouquets of seasonal, fresh cut flowers. The desire to make good-looking, long-lasting bouquets every week of the season from our own flowers has been a shaping force on our farm. Over time, our mixed bouquets have become a fluid, natural expression of the seasonal production of our flower farm.
For as long as we've had our website, we've been adding to our Bouquet of the Week Gallery every week of the harvest season. We now have seven years of bouquets in the gallery. It's a good resource for finding out what's in season when on our farm, and it's fun to browse through if you're into pretty flowers.
See you on Saturday!
