Bouquet of the Week
August 31, 2018
Zinnias, Cosmos, Cockscomb, Ageratum, Tuberose, Amazon Celosia
Amazon Celosias are the latest blooming flower we grow. They don't bloom until September. Depending on the season, we continue cutting them right up until the first frost sometime in October.
These stunning purple spikes are native to the Amazon basin in Brasil, where they rise above the lush tropical growth of lowland meadows. They originated from seeds collected by renowned cut flower grower and celosia enthusiast Ralph Cramer during a trip to Brasil.
Thanks Ralph for an amazing exclamation point in our late season arrangements and bouquets! Come see these beautiful wild meadow flowers at the Bardstown Road Farmers Market this weekend.
See you there!
